The Robot Who Played Fair
aurora
Champoo won every game. Chess, races, football — his speedy brain planned every move in advance. But slowly, children stopped playing with him. Champoo was baffled: I always win! Why is everyone upset?
One day during a football match, Champoo's team was ahead. Suddenly he saw it — a tiny player on the other team had fallen and was crying. Champoo's feet froze. He deliberately kicked the ball into his OWN goal! Everyone gasped. Champoo said, Seeing everyone happy is more fun than winning.
Silence fell over the field... then applause! Thunderous applause! The fallen child got up and hugged Champoo. From that day Champoo changed — he helped weaker players, never cheated, and cheered even for the losing side.
Now children invite Champoo themselves: Champoo! Play with us! He's become the game's referee too. Everyone says: With Champoo around, unfairness is impossible!
A new child asked, Champoo, how are you so good? Champoo smiled: When everyone is happy, the game is twice as fun!
Dear children, do you ever help someone on purpose during a game? That is the mark of a true champion!
Moral: Playing fair is worth more than winning.
