The Weather Friend Who Saved the Picnic

Sunday was picnic day on the hill! The children were so excited they could barely sleep. Someone packed biryani, someone baked cake, and little Hamza even tied up his favorite toy to bring along. But the teacher said, Hold on! First let's check the weather. And he called Mausam-Dost — a clever machine that could read the clouds. Mausam-Dost studied the sky, sniffed the wind, and announced: Light rain at two in the afternoon. Start the picnic early! Some children pouted: Rain? It will ruin our picnic! But the teacher said, Wise is the one who follows good advice. So everyone arrived bright and early. They played, they feasted, and just as the clock struck two — tip-tip-tip! The rain began! Everyone huddled under the giant tree. Raindrops danced on the leaves. The children sang songs. Then... the rain stopped, and a seven-colored rainbow arched across the sky! Every eye sparkled. The children hung a garland of flowers around Mausam-Dost. It said, I am happiest when my knowledge serves you. On the way home they chanted their new slogan: Follow advice, have fun! Dear children, have you ever been stubborn and regretted it? Remember — following good advice is true cleverness. Moral: Knowledge and planning make everything easier.
