Toto had shiny new batteries. He ran so fast that children said, Toto is faster than the wind! But his friend Kubo — an older robot — went tick-tick-tick, moving slowly. His batteries were weak.

Race day arrived at the playground. The whistle blew — PHEEP! Toto zoomed ahead like lightning. But when he glanced back... Kubo had stopped halfway! His battery was dying. The light in his eyes was fading.
